Kindergarten (Panguitch Elementary will never be the same)

First Day of Kindergarten!
Caleb started school a couple of days after Kaelynn and Tyler. He was ready to go!
There is only one half class in the morning. He loves riding his bike to school. He has loved it so far. I think he likes to take his time with his work, because he brings a lot of unfinished work home. I don't know what to think about that. The teacher hasn't said anything about it, so we just keep moving along.

First Day of School!!

Today is the first day of school!!
It is a rainy day, but the kids where still excited to head out to school today. Caleb starts Kindergarten on Thursday.

Tyler is in 3rd grade and has Miss. Chidester

Kaelynn is in 5th grade and has Mr. Torgerson

Here is Tyler at his desk. When I asked Kaelynn if she wanted her picture at her desk she said, "NO" I think she was embarrassed that I even walked her to class.

We made it!! New House!

Well, it was close, but we made the deadline in the nick of time! They have still been working on a few things. They just finished the front porch railing today. They still have the rain gutters to add as well. We have been in our house for 3 weeks. We love it and feel so blessed.

This is our beautiful yard (wink, wink) We have so much work to do. We have about 3/4 of an acre. That shed came with the property. Aren't we lucky??!

This was a bonus! I showed the contractors a picture of what I wanted and the next day I came it was in! It will be so nice.

This is Caleb's room, but all the rooms look the same.

I love the doors we picked!

Our lovely hand prints on the back of the downstairs closet.

My dream come true, a music room!!

Ben's dream come true, "theater room" It's really just a big open room downstairs, but it's pretty awesome!

March came in like a lion!

March has proven to be a busy time for us. We are at crunch time on the house. Our closing date is April 18th....mmmm....ya...we aren't going to make it. But I think we will be in the house in May. Everything is looking great.

We had little Juliet's blessing. She is so cute. We are going to miss Ben and Tana. I can't wait to see how their new life is going. We also has a fun weekend with my family. Jeff flew home for the weekend. Bryan and Celeste got to come as well. We had a pizza party with an ice cream cook off. Ben and I on one team and Jeff and Bryan on the other team. We really never declared a winner, because they were both yummy! I love my family so much. Growing up I always wanted a sister. I used to pray that someday I would get a sister. I even remember crying one night from lack of a sister. But now in my life I wouldn't trade all the sisters in the world for my 3 brothers. They are funny, smart, good friends, great husbands, wonderful fathers, and they make my laugh the hardest. I love you, Ben, Jeff and Bryan!

Ben got out his dirt bike, it's ready to go. Now he just needs someone to go with!

Kaelynn and Juliet

Happy Winter!

Winter started on December 21st and it's still going! December was soooo cold. It got down to -30 here in Pang Town. It was a record cold. We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids got up early opened all their presents and loved everything. Now that it's February they still like most of the things they got, but it's not as exciting. Kaelynn got a new bike and she really hasn't had a chance to use it yet, but I think she will live on it when summer hits. During all the Christmas parties my mouth was killing me. I went in after Christmas and had a root canal done. Now I am feeling a lot better.

January was a fun month. Tana had baby girl!! Yay! Kaelynn was excited to get a girl cousin. They are moving next month to Guam and we won't get to see them for a few years. We are sad about that, but it will be a fun adventure for them. We also went down to St. George and saw Todd and his family. Kylee was on her way Disneyland to work as a collage intern. That will be so fun for her. Mom had her birthday and we watched Barkly while they went to Las Vegas. Ben and I had a speaking assignment in the Cannonville ward. It was fun to go our there and see their old chapel that has recently be renovated.

Now February is half over. Time goes by so fast. We went to St. George again this month. Ben went to the Temple to see a co-worker get sealed to his family. He said it was very neat. I stayed back and watched the kids and Barkly. We had him again while Mom and Dad were at a Family History Conference. The Winter Olympics started while we were in St. George. We invited Missy and her kids over for dinner while we watched the Opening Ceremonies. For Valentines Day we had dinner with some friends and it was so fun. We plan on making it a tradition. Ben gave me a watch necklace. I love it.

Now for the big news.....  Today I am potty training Coleman. OK, so it might not be big new to everyone, but to me it's big deal. It will be nice to not have diapers anymore. I think it will take a couple weeks to a month for him to get really good at it, but you have to start somewhere.

I don't even know if I have mentioned the house we are building. Things are going really well. They are putting up dry wall and should start mudding this week. I hope we will be in by April. That would be a dream, but it's kind of looking more like May when we will actually move! Yay for us! Well that's it for today!

Thanksgiving 2013

This Thanksgiving was spent up in Payson this year at Ben's sister's house (Amanda). We left on Wednesday morning. Ben had to be in downtown Salt Lake City for a deposition hearing. It worked out good since they paid for our trip. His hearing was by City Creek, which was great because I had somewhere to take the kids. We got to City Creek and walked around, went to the Disney Store, the play area, and played in the water. It was a beautiful Fall day. the play area was really crowded, so we didn't stay too long. Coleman LOVED it. Kaelynn was watching him and wanted to take his picture, but he ran around like crazy. After the play area Ben was still not done so we walked over to Temple Square. It was the most peaceful experience I have had at Temple Square. The weather was beautiful, there wasn't hardly anyone there, and the kids really got to see some fun things. Ben joined us when we were almost done at Temple Square.

Here are the kids in front of the Nativity. (Notice the non-existent crowd?!)

After Temple Square we went to Ikea Cabela's and Costco. We were so tired, it was a long day.

Thanksgiving day! Here is the beautiful table Amanda set.
Kaelynn Chillin' out waiting for dinner
Ben acting goofy. "Get out of the kitchen" we have work to do!"
 Hanging out with Coleman.
Bryson teaching Ben what the "cool" games are!
These cousins sure love each other. They played hard, and we never saw them. I had to tell them to stand still long enough to get this picture.
Fun kid table. They got to draw on it and decorate it however they liked.
Later that night we went to Wal-Mart for Black Friday. It was so fun. Missy went with Ben and me. We left the next morning because Ben had to get back to work. Such a fun time!

While Ben was working Saturday the kids and I went to Cedar City. We did a small version of a Turkey shoot. The kids shoot the BB guns and the adults and big kids shot 22's.
 G&G with the little boys.
Tyler with his "Rambo" head band. He actually said it was he "Pirate head band".
 Coleman and Axton collecting rocks.
Fun times with family! Love the holidays!
